2015 NLLEA Annual Conference: Improving Communities through Comprehensive Alcohol Law Enforcement Strategies
The NLLEA, in partnership with the Colorado Department of Revenue Liquor and Tobacco Enforcement Division, are pleased to announce that the 2015 conference, Improving Communities through Comprehensive Alcohol Law Enforcement Strategies, will be held in Westminster, Colorado from Monday, September 21 – Wednesday, September 23, 2015. The conference will be held at the Westminster Westin, centrally located between Denver and Boulder. Enjoy the spectacular Rocky Mountains while learning about effective strategies for ensuring public safety for alcohol law enforcement. Rooms are available for NLLEA conference attendees for $149/night (a rate lower than the government allowed room per diem). To make a reservation, call 888-627-8448 or 303-410-5000 and mention the NLLEA annual conference. The cut-off date for making reservations is August 31, 2015, at which time rates will increase.

Now accepting Sergeant-at-Arms Nominations
Interested in getting more involved in the NLLEA? The Board is accepting self-nominations for the Sergeant-at-Arms position, and will be holding elections at the annual board meeting at the conference in September. The NLLEA’s Sergeant-at-Arms participates in NLLEA Board meetings, reviews workshop abstracts submitted for the Annual Conference, reviews nominations for the annual NLLEA Law Enforcement Awards and helps with NLLEA publications. The Sergeant-at- Arms position is a first-year position on the Board. In the subsequent four years, the Sergeant-at-Arms will serve as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President, and President, before serving his or her final year on the Board as Immediate Past President.
If you would like to declare your candidacy for the Sergeant-At-Arms position, please submit:
- A picture of yourself for the nominees’ bio email.
- A brief statement (no more than 500 words) detailing your background and qualifications, why you would like to hold this office, and your vision for the future for the NLLEA.

Annual NLLEA Awards
The annual conference provides the perfect opportunity to recognize leaders and outstanding programs in the field of alcohol law enforcement. This year's annual awards will be presented at the annual conference closing ceremonies award luncheon. Please consider self-nominating or nominating another agency or agent in one of the following four categories: liquor law enforcement agency of the year, liquor law enforcement agent of the year, innovative liquor law enforcement program of the year, and the John W. Britt Community Service Award. Nominations must be received by Friday, July 24, 2015 using the 2015 Award Nomination Form.
